4 SunnahNiyyah (Intention)
Stand facing the Qibla and make the intention in your heart to perform the 2 Rakats of Isha Sunnah prayer.
Takbiratul Ihram
Raise your hands to your ears (men) or shoulders (women) and say the Takbir to start the prayer.
Allahu Akbar
Allah is the Greatest
Sana
Recite Sana to glorify Allah. This is only done in the first Rakat.
Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika, wa tabarakasmuka wa ta'ala jadduka, wa la ilaha ghayruk
Glory be to You, O Allah, and all praise is Yours. Blessed is Your name, exalted is Your majesty, and there is no god besides You.
Rakat 1: Surah Al-Fatiha
Recite the opening chapter of the Quran. It is mandatory in every Rakat.
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Alhamdu lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen. Ar-Rahmaanir-Raheem. Maaliki Yawmid-Deen. Iyyaaka na'budu wa lyyaaka nasta'een. Ihdinas-Siraatal-Mustaqeem. Siraatal-ladheena an'amta 'alaihim ghairil-maghdoobi 'alaihim wa lad-daalleen
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment. You alone do we worship, and You alone do we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path. The path of those on whom You have bestowed Your grace, not the path of those who have earned Your anger, nor of those who have gone astray.
Rakat 1: Second Surah
Recite another Surah or at least three verses from the Quran. (In Fard prayers, this is only done in the first two Rakats).
Qul huwal laahu ahad. Allahus samad. Lam yalid wa lam yoolad. Wa lam yakul lahoo kufuwan ahad
Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born. Nor is there to Him any equivalent."
Rakat 1: Ruku (Bowing)
Bow down with your hands on your knees and recite this three times.
Subhana Rabbiyal Azeem
Glory be to my Lord, the Supreme
Rakat 1: Qaumah (Standing)
Rise back to a standing position.
Sami Allahu liman hamidah. Rabbana lakal hamd
Allah hears those who praise Him. Our Lord, all praise is Yours.
Rakat 1: Sujud 1 (Prostration)
Prostrate with your forehead, nose, palms, knees, and toes touching the ground. Recite this three times.
Subhana Rabbiyal A'la
Glory be to my Lord, the Most High
Rakat 1: Jalsah (Sitting)
Sit up briefly between the two prostrations.

Final Tashahhud
Sit and recite Tashahhud before ending the prayer.
At-tahiyyatu lillahi was-salawatu wat-tayyibatu, as-salamu 'alaika ayyuhan-nabiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, as-salamu 'alaina wa 'ala 'ibadillahis-salihin, ashhadu an la ilaha illallahu wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluhu
All compliments, prayers and pure works are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.
Durood (Salawat)
Recite Salawat upon the Prophet (PBUH) in the final sitting.
Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin, kama sallaita 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala ali Ibrahima, innaka Hamidun Majid. Allahumma barik 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin, kama barakta 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala ali Ibrahima, innaka Hamidun Majid
O Allah, send Your grace, honour and mercy upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your grace, honour and mercy upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim, indeed You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious. O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim, indeed You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.
Final Dua
Recite a final supplication before ending the prayer.
Allahumma inni zalamtu nafsi zulman katheeran wala yaghfiruz-zunooba illa anta, faghfir lee maghfiratan min 'indika warhamnee innaka antal Ghafoorur Raheem
O Allah, I have greatly wronged myself and no one forgives sins except You. So grant me forgiveness from You and have mercy on me, indeed You are the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Taslim (Salam)
Turn your head to the right and then to the left while saying the Salam to end the prayer.
